ToggleZ! Coffee & Roastery - Good WIFI, great coffee, and gorgeous Bánh mì
Nestled in the heart of Da Nang, Z! Coffee & Roastery is a fantastic little café to combine lunch and remote working. Z! Coffee serves high-quality coffee, including espresso-based drinks, pour-over, and Vietnamese-style coffee. The interior is bright and modern and offers comfy seating, fast WIFI, and outlets at every table. Enjoy an artisanal roast and one of their famous Bánh mì sandwiches.
Like most businesses in Vietnam, Z! Coffee opens early (6:30am) and closes late (10:30pm). So whether you need an early morning caffeine boost or want to put in a few extra hours after dinner, the doors are always open. Centrally located within walking distance to major hotels and attractions, Z! Coffee is a convenient spot to park yourself for a full workday or quick break between sightseeing.
Prices: 50,000/60,000VND for a coffee. A little more on the expensive side for most cafe’s in Vietnam, however the Bánh mìs are completely stuffed with ingredients and the coffees are to die for. Keep in mind, most cafe’s on this side of town are a little bit more expensive seeing as the area is populated by expats and tourists.
I found this place by accident one afternoon when I was absolutely STARVING. Their sign outside showed some seriously scrumptious looking Bánh mìs so I popped in to grab one. The smell of the coffee when I entered kept me there for another hour or so! I returned the next day to do a bit of work on the laptop and indulge in yet another coconut coffee. If you work remotely without needing to make any calls etc, this is the perfect place to do so. While I mostly worked on some writing, I did have a quick English lesson to teach which I decided to try and do here. It went surprisingly well and I was surprised that the WIFI was strong enough to back up the call, however between the music and the sound of the coffee bean grinder, it wasn’t the most ideal spot for online tutoring!
LU Coffee - A cosy café with good WIFI and amazing coffee
Ever been caught in an infamous Da Nang rain shower? Well, if you have, you’ll understand what I mean when I say that LU Coffee is the perfect little hideout from the weather. It’s a strange feeling to be in 30°C heat and yet soaking wet and craving a hot vanilla cappuccino. As weird as it may feel, the solution can be found in a quiet corner at LU Coffee.
Lu Coffee’s ambiance is perfect for getting in the zone. The natural light, minimal décor, and laid-back vibe make it easy to focus. Find a spot to sit among the mix of tables, couches and bar seating indoors, or the picnic style tables out the front – there’s plenty of options for solo remote workers. The friendly staff and regulars add to the welcoming atmosphere. No remote workday is complete without a steady supply of coffee and snacks. Lu Coffee offers a variety of coffees, from hot café lattes to refreshing cold brews. Their scrumptious selection of pastries is sure to tempt you. My advice? Don’t resist temptation.
Prices: 40,000/50,000VND for a coffee. With affordable prices, you can easily make Lu Coffee your temporary office for the day.
As you may have guessed from the intro to this café, I discovered this coffee shop on an extremely rainy day in November. After nursing a hot cappuccino between my cold hands, I left this café feeling like a new person. Between the great workspace, delicious coffee and prime location, Lu Coffee should rank high on your list for places to get work done in Da Nang.
H Coffee - Cheap, cheerful, and cosy space for coffee and concentration.
Tucked away on a quiet alley in the heart of Da Nang, H Coffee is a charming little café perfect for remote workers. With free, fast WiFi, plenty of outlets you’ll happily hunker down for hours of distraction-free work.
H Coffee House in Da Nang offers a cheap and good coffee, providing a great atmosphere and friendly staff. The music is pretty chill and while it can get quite busy, this is for a good reason, and there is so much space here that the hustle and bustle can be oddly soothing. The environment at H Coffee House is spacious and cool, with comfortable wooden tables and good air conditioning. The vintage décor and mismatched furniture create a cosy vibe.
Prices: 30,000/40,000VND for a coffee. At under $2 for an iced coffee, you can afford to refuel all day. Whether you need to send some emails, work on your side hustle, or just escape your hostel dorm for a bit, HCoffee is an ideal workspace.
This place is one of my favourite spots to go to get some work done and indulge in a delicious yet affordable coffee and lunch. I usually spend about 60,000VND for a coconut coffee and an egg Bánh mì. I could easily sit for hours at this café and completely lose track of time, which is ultimately the goal when there is work to be done, no?
I have to add, they also have the cutest cats!
Ace coworking space - spacious and relaxed coworking space above a café
My go-to spot for remote working in Da Nang. Ace Coworking Space offers a laid-back setting with plenty of room to spread out. This spacious area is located on the top floor above Ace Café, a popular coffee spot in the An Thuong area. Head into the café and up the stairs where you will find shared work areas, a beautiful outdoor patio area filled with plants and greenery, and two wooden phone booths.
With lots of natural light, and minimal distractions, Ace is ideal for tapping into your creative flow or crunching on more focused tasks. They offer affordable daily and monthly membership options and are open from 7am to 10pm daily. Take breaks when you need to rest your mind by heading downstairs to Ace Café. They serve up delicious fresh-brewed coffee, and cold-pressed juices. The staff in the café are super helpful and friendly and will even bring your order up to you if you are working upstairs. Free instant coffee and tea are available, as are lockers to store your belongings while you work at no cost.
I bought a 5-day pass for Ace Coworking Space as it offered an open, unstructured environment which I loved and the two wooden phone booths outside were perfect for when I had a couple of hours to teach some online English classes. The community here was also a major bonus as everyone was so warm and friendly, both the other remote workers and the staff. You immediately got the sense that everyone was extremely comfortable here.
